Sunny Southwold

Thinking of a holiday by the sea?! Southwold has it all!

I have been visiting Southwold for years. It fast became an Easter time tradition to spend a long weekend in the pretty Suffolk town and this year, I was lucky enough to be spend a week there. South Green is in the heart of Southwold with easy access to the beach, the pubs and the shops!

South Green I am told that Southwold in the 80’s had very little tourism. These days, the cafes are heaving with families and at 6.30pm there is an orderly queue of customers in the Red Lion, all keen to place their food orders.

You feel instantly relaxed in Southwold and the town has everything there to help you unwind from a busy work and social calendar. A favourite pastime was visiting the Two Magpies Bakery and indulging in a slice of drunken apple cake or Adnams Broadside pudding!
